Central Florida has long, warm, humid summers and mild, sunny, dry winters. Showers occur almost daily during the summer, and rain protection may be necessary any time of the year. Fall, winter, and spring are the most pleasant times for outdoor recreation. Temperatures from November through February average 50° to 70° F. From June through August, temperatures range from an average low of 71° to an average high of 93°, with rare heat waves of more than 100° F.
